Does uploading client documents to Zylox risk waiving legal professional privilege?
No. Zylox was built specifically for environments where privilege is non-negotiable. Files are encrypted before they reach us, are never retained after processing, and are never used to train any model. You are not disclosing to a third party in a way that would waive privilege — the architecture is designed to preserve it.

Is Zylox suitable for work subject to SRA obligations on confidentiality?
Yes. Zylox was designed with regulated environments in mind. Zero data retention, client-key encryption, audit-ready access controls, and sovereign deployment options make it compatible with the SRA's requirements around client confidentiality and data security.

How is this different from our existing document management system?
Document management systems like iManage or NetDocuments store and organise your files. Zylox is an AI reasoning layer on top — you upload files to a matter workspace and ask questions across them in plain English, getting cited answers in seconds. The two are complementary, not competing.

Can we create a separate workspace for each client matter?
Yes — and that is exactly how Zylox is designed to be used. Each matter gets its own fully isolated workspace. You invite the fee earners who need access, set their permissions, and nothing from that matter is visible outside it. There is no bleed between matters.

Do we need IT involvement to get started?
No. Most firms are up and running within minutes. There is no infrastructure to configure, no procurement process to navigate, and no mandatory onboarding. Enterprise deployments with custom infrastructure or data residency requirements are available separately.

What happens to our documents after we upload them?
They are encrypted on your device before reaching our servers. During AI processing they exist briefly inside a short-lived secure environment, then are permanently discarded. Nothing is stored in readable form. Nothing is retained after your response is returned.

Is Zylox compliant with UK GDPR obligations for client personal data?
